Wine Advocate Wine Reviews!

Robert Parker's rating system
Robert Parker's rating system employs a 50-100 point quality scale (Parker Points®). The Wine Advocate takes a hard, very critical look at wine, and would prefer to underestimate the wine's quality than to overestimate it. The numerical ratings are utilized only to enhance and complement the thorough tasting notes, which are the primary means of communicating judgments.

2007 Tresor
92 Points:

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, the 2007 Trésor Proprietary Red is a deep, rich full-bodied wine displaying notes of graphite, blueberries, blackberries, spice box, and background oak. It is a young, formidably endowed, moderately tannic effort that requires 2 - 3 years of bottle age. It should last 20 - 25 years.

2007 Chardonnay Dominique
90 Points:

The 2007 Chardonnay Dominique, which is part of the winery's Vineyard Select Limited Production series, exhibits a light gold color in addition to lots of honeyed orange, pineapple, and mango aromas along with a hint of wood spice in its decidedly, tropical-scented nose. This exotic, rich, full-bodied Chardonnay is ideal for drinking over the next 2 - 3 years.

2008 Fumé Blanc
89 Points:

Ferrari-Carano's 2008 Fumé Blanc is an exotic, exuberant, richly fruity white offering notes of honeyed melons, candied orange rind, and sweet grapefruit, medium body, and a hedonistic style. Those looking for terroir and minerality may not enjoy it, but this is a pleasure-filled wine to consume over the next year

2007 Reserve Chardonnay
89 Points:

Aromas of orange marmalade, honeyed lemon blossoms and baked apples emerge from the fruity, medium to full-bodied 2007 Chardonnay. It possesses fresh acidity, a heady finish, and no obvious oak. Drink it over the next 1 - 3 years.

2007 Cabernet Sauvignon
88 Points:

The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon's dense ruby/purple color is followed by notes of blackberries, black currants, spice, and background oak. Medium-bodied with elevated levels of tannin as well as good structure and depth, it will benefit from 1 - 3 years of bottle age, and evolve for 12 - 15 years.
